Makeup has also got some thumb rules or guidelines, which never go wrong and so that one doesn't commit a makeup blooper. When it comes to highlighting, only one feature should be highlighted among eyes, cheeks or lips, otherwise it may look overdone.
If you are highlighting eyes, the lips should be understated and vice-versa. If you notice in this look, The bond girl carried bold eyes and bold lips together really well. She has dark smokey eyes and vampy dark lips together which is a makeup exception.

I totally agree with you!! I think that rule is actually more of a guideline that can be broken when done well ... And her makeup in Skyfall is definitely done well!! I absolutely LOVE IT!! I tried a more wearable version of the look ... you can see how I did it here if you like:)
